"Absolution" Oil, Acrylic and Graphite 82 x 62 2001

I am using a biblical metaphor to show forgiveness. The single figure reaching through the grid is separated from the people below. An apple is locked into the grid by a tessaract shape signifying the fall and judgment of man. There is a white rose falling down to the people illustrating purity and redemption. A scripture in the bible states "Mercy triumphs over judgment", and I believe this is the essence of life
