Water Matters is a campaign to ensure that everyone has access to safe water and adequate sanitation. The UK Prime Minister will attend the UN Earth Summit in 2002; water and sanitation issues must be high on the agenda!

Tearfund and WaterAid have launched a nationwide campaign to highlight the global water crisis in which two out of every three people in the world will face water shortages by 2025.

The Water Matters campaign aims to put pressure on global leaders at the World Summit on Sustainable Development in 2002 and calls on them to take urgent action on behalf of the one billion people who lack access to a safe water supply and the 2.4 billion people who do not have access to adequate sanitation.
