Evangelism - that well known Christian word that has
the ability to make you get really excited, or make your heart
sink with guilt. And yes we'd all love to be that sort of
person who has masses of friends/family/complete strangers
turn up at church with them and become Christians on the spot
so we can 'humbly' say to one and all "It's not me, its
all the Lord" whilst secretly feeling utterly smug and
self satisfied.
But its not like that is it? Not always, sometimes not ever.
At least not for us.
It doesn't seem to happen like this in the books we buy and
the stories we hear. But hey - we're not all meant to be evangelists
- we're all witnesses. And that would make us feel better
if we knew what that meant and we didn't feel so bad.
Then again - maybe the word evangelism gets you buzzing and
it totally where you're at and where you want to stay. It's
a word that makes you feel so alive that you breathe the stuff,
it occupies your ideas and dreams. Your conversations have
an underlying declaration of intent and you like it that way.
Aint no mountain high enough to stop you from reaching your
goal. You want tell the entire world about the God you know.
Does either image relate to who you are? Maybe,
maybe not... find
